How we work
At Middleman Sourcing (MMS), we bridge the gap between your vision and ethical manufacturing. We manage the entire production journey—from the first sketch to final delivery—ensuring transparency, precision, and accountability at every stage.
How We Simplify Global Production
-
Design & Strategy
We review your tech packs and brand DNA to find the perfect manufacturing match within our global network.
-
Production & QC
We manage sampling and conduct on-site inspections to ensure international quality standards.
-
Global Logistics
We handle customs, duties, and freight, delivering cleared goods directly to your door.
Our Production Process
These stages outline how MMS manages production from concept to post-delivery support, ensuring transparency, quality and ethical oversight at every step.
-
1. Initial Consultation
We begin with a strategy session to define your objectives, budget and timeline. We then match your project with the most suitable manufacturing partner from our vetted global network of both high-capacity and specialised facilities.
-
2. Technical Foundation
We work from your Tech Pack or reference sample. If required, our in-house team can develop these for you. We request vector files (.AI/.PDF), size charts and branding assets to ensure complete technical accuracy.
-
3. Lab Dips & Colour Approval
Fabric swatches are developed in line with your Pantone® references. These are reviewed under standard D65 lighting conditions to ensure colour accuracy before bulk production is approved.
-
4. Proto Sampling
A prototype sample (typically 3–5 weeks) is developed to refine fit, construction and overall design. Sampling may be completed using approved bulk fabric or suitable alternatives with matching specifications. A sampling fee applies to cover labour and shipping; this is credited against your bulk order upon confirmation.
-
5. Salesman Samples (SMS) | Optional
Retail-ready samples can be produced using approved production-grade fabrics and trims for marketing and sales purposes. Limited sampling yardage is secured for this stage, while bulk fabric commitment follows order confirmation. SMS uses small batches of approved production fabric — bulk commitment follows order confirmation.
-
6. Final Costing & Order Confirmation
Once samples are approved and specifications are confirmed, we provide final, transparent pricing based on projected quantities. A formal Purchase Order (PO) and deposit initiate the bulk production phase.
-
7. Bulk Fabric & Trims Allocation
Following order confirmation, we secure and allocate bulk production fabrics and trims. All materials undergo testing for shrinkage, colourfastness and GSM compliance prior to bulk cutting.
-
8. Bulk Production
Once fabrics and trims are approved, bulk production commences according to the agreed schedule. We maintain structured communication with the factory and provide progress updates throughout manufacturing.
-
9. Multi-Tier Quality Control
Quality is embedded throughout the process. Our team conducts inspections at key stages — cutting, stitching and final assembly — to ensure consistency and compliance with agreed specifications.
-
10. Branding & Packaging
We execute your custom branding requirements — from woven labels and care tags to sustainable, QR-coded packaging — ensuring goods are retail-ready upon arrival.
-
11. Global Logistics
We coordinate freight and customs processes, supporting FOB, DAP and DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) terms via sea, air or express shipping, depending on your timeline and destination.
-
12. Post-Delivery Support
Our partnership continues beyond shipment. We support performance reviews, quality feedback and repeat production planning to help your operations scale sustainably.
